Messrs. F. Dennes and D. P. Loasby have been elected members of the Greytown Town Lands Trust. Mr A. J. Daysh has been elected secretary of the recently-formed Optimists’ Club in Masterton. i Mr J. Cocker, of Auckland, is visiting his parents, the Rev J. and Mrs Cocker, Albert Street. \ Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Hardie, of Featherston, left yesterday on a visit to the Old Country. They sail this morning in the Argyllshire for London, via Panama. Mr G. R. Sykes, M.P., leaves to-day on a visit to the northern end of his electorate. On Anzac Day he will unveil a soldiers’ memorial at Pongaroa, erected by the Akitio County Counc : l in memory of those from tic district who participated in the Great War. The Director of Town Planning (Mr R. B. Hammond) has completed an extensive tour of the South Island, in the course of which he explained to local authorities the procedure in connection with the preparation of town-planning schemes. He will make a similar tour ot the North Island shortly.
