CORRECT BLOOD PRESSURE.
NEW AMERICAN INVENTION. TO ADJUST VIBRATIONS OF THE BODY. (Press Association —Copyright.) (Received Tuesday, 5.5 p.m ) $ NEW YORK, Jan. 4.—A message from Portland, Oregon, states that Joseph Pos, scientist and engineer, has invented an electrical apparatus which appears to have relieved, at least temporarily, cases of high blood pressure where established medical methods have failed. Pos declared that the machine was merely an adaptation of a new scientific principle he had evolved through a modification of the Einstein theory involving what is called time impulse, instead of spate impulse. He then computed the so-called fre qtrency of the blood in the human body, after which he was able to Lvise the apparatus inducing the correct vibrations and restoring normal blood pressure. The Physicians’ Association investigated 13 cases of men and wompn undergoing treatment of these reported blood pressures between 190 and 290, which were all brought to normal, and remained there at the end of four months. The Council of the American Medical Association is now investigating the device. Pos claimed that by the same principle other diseases could be The so-called “death ray” could be pioduced, or the wireless telephone could be directed to one locality and would not be heard elsewhere.—(A. and N.Z.)
