WIRELESS DISPUTE.

RIGHTS OF PATENTEES. DEPARTURE FROM PRECEDENT. (Press Association — (Received 1.15 a.m.) Sydney, Oct. 30.—-Mr G. Mason Allard, chairman- of directors of Amalgamated Wireless of Australasia, Ltd. - , informed shareholders that a claim for infringement of patent rights against the New- Zealand Government would be made on receipt of full information from New Zealand. In regard to the legislation which empowered companies and others to broadcast as Government agents, he said the New Zealand Government had made a most extraordinary departure from the practice and law of nations in regard to patent rights, and had repudiated what it had previously held out, and flor which it had taken fees. Patentees the world over and financial circles generally would be astounded by the action of the New Zealand Government. —(P.A.)
