The club has purchased 300 acres of land at Te Rapa, at a point 24 miles to the north of the Hamilton post office,- and within a miloof the Frankton railway station. For many years the Hamilton Racing Club and the Waikato Hunt Club have hold their meetings on the Waikato A. and P. Association ’s showgrounds at Claudelands. The Hamilton Trotting Club will still continue to hold its meetings on that ground. The Hamilton Racing Club, however, found that the arrangements for holding a big meeting at Claudelands were inadequate and unsatisfactory.
