MOTHER-IN-LAW SUED.
SON-IN-LAW’S ALfeEGATIONS. (Received 8.20 p.m.) London, March 15. —The first such case for 200 years was tried at the Court of Session, Edinburgh. Captain Adamson sued his mother-m-law (Mrs Gillibrand), a wealthy woman of Luttenworth Hall, Leicestershire, for £5OOO damages for causing his wife to desert him. Adamson alleged that his mother-in-law ejected him from her house, where he was living with his wife, and used dominating influence and threats to compel his wife to refuse to live with him.
