MERELY INTERNMENT.
FOR ARRESTED IRISH. INVESTIGATION LATER. (Received 7.20 p.m.) Ixindon, March 14. —Mr W. C. Bridgeman, replying to a question in the Commons, said nothing more than internment was proposed at present in connection with those arrested in the Irish round-up in England. An advisory committee would be constituted at an early date.— (A. and N.Z.) TIME OF MOURNING. A REBEL PROCLAMATION. (Received 8-20 p.m.) London, March 15.—The. rebels have issued a proclamation that “in view of the murders of prisoners' of war and executions, the present be observed as time of mourning.” All sports and amusements are to be suspended, and places of amusement closed.—(A. and N.Z.)
