SACRED CONCERT

OPERA HOUSE. To-morrow evening, at 8.30, the Municipal Silver Band,, assisted by Miss O’Donovan, Messrs Halliwel), Jago and Young, the Orpheus Quartette, and a male choir under the baton of Mr R. J. Young, will 1 giva a sacred concert. The Orpheus Quartette, who gained second place in Wanganui this week, will render the test piece sung at the competitions there. A cornet solo 44 Absent” will be played by request by Bandsman Greenfield. Mr W. Staines will also play a euphonium solo. A silver coin collection in aid of the band’s funds will be taken.
