ENGLISH TOURING PROPOSALS. (Received 5.5 p.m.) London, Dec. 5. —In view of the strain which the provisional programme would cause to leading English players, the advisory committee of the M.C.C. favours the following modification of th& test programme: England team to visit South Africa 1922-23.

South Africa to visit England, 1924. England to visit Australia 1924-25. Australia to visit England 1926. The matter will be decided on Monday. The counties are unanimously opposed to playing the test matches in England to a finish, favouring the retention of the three-day system on the, ground that it would otherwise be impossible to carry on county cricket on the present basis.—(A. and 2LZ.) SCHOOLBOY PROPOSAL. (Received 5.5 p.m.) London, Dec. 5. —Lord Harris is hostile to the proposal to send a schoolboy team of cricketers to Australia. The scholastic authorities, he says, would not encourage such a miniature test and such a game would do no good to test cricket since the boys would learn no more than they could from an Eton and Harrow match.—(A. and N.Z.) SATURDAY’S FIXTURES. Waingawa against Pirates 8., on Park Oval, at 2 p.m. Gregory, Sayer, Harding, Anderson, McAliece, Moore, Nuttall, Robson, Shackleton, Parker, Pickering.
