THE HAYNE CASE.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The case of Hayne, the DuMdm chemist, who is charged with performing an illegal operatipn,'"came before the Supreme Court'again to-day. Neylon, iir evidence, denied having had anything to do with the girl, or that she told him her condition. Wit-. hoss declared that the girl's statements at earlier trials were lios. The giil Gladys Batchelor then entered the box, but refusod to answer any questions. •] The Judge then adjourned the hearing till eleven o'clock to-morrow morning. ; Mr. T. M. Wilford mentioned the matter of bail for Hayne. ; The Judge replied: "I don't suppose he will run away. I don't see how-he can run away. Perhaps if he did it would save us a lot of trouble." .
