FISHING CONDITIONS.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAURANGA, Last Night. Messrs, Ayson (Chief Inspector of Fisheries) and A. Petersen (Inspector of Fisheries for Hawke's Bay District) arrived here on Saturday night from Opotiki and AVhakatanc, to continue an inquiry into the fishing conditions in the Bay of Plenty. Evidence was taken here this morning from local fishermen, who complained that trawlers wore frequently inside the limits. The evidence also showed that fish during the last year or two were very much scarcer than in former years, and this was attributed to tho operations of the trawlers. Both gentlemen leave for Auckland tomorrow, and tako further evidence there from those interested' in trawling.
