A SUSPICIOUS DEATH

" In connection with the finding in the harbour of the dead body of an Australian trooper, William Henry Morkwick Sim, it has been d:scovered that the £IOO bank note known to have been in the deceased's possession a week ago had been cashed by another person, whereas only four pounds odd were found on the body. The interment was stopped for a post mortem examination, which revealed marks on the head wh:ch may have been caused by a blow or fall. • tt ib understood that there are other indications not inconsistent with suspicions of foul play. Further developments have resulted in the ari'est of Iscar Paul Fairburn, aged 32, a fellow passenger of the deceased by the pulimar.oa from Sydney, charged with the theft of the £ICO note referred to. | The inquest has been a,djourned.
