PROTESTS TO THE MINISTER.

His Worship the Mayor (Mr. W. H. Jackson) brought under the notice of the Minister of Education (Hon. Sir Francis Bell), when receiving the educational deputation in Masterton yesterday, the unfortunate conditions at present prevailing in the Masterton schools. "Tho children in this town are suffering great inconvenience, and are being pushed out of their rooms. I have no doubt that this position will be greatly accentuated after the Christmas holidays," declared his Worship. The Minister: I regret to say, Mr. Mayor, that this unfortunate position exists all over New Zealand at the present time. Mr. Geo. R. Sykes, M.P., endorsed the statements of the Mayor.
