IQKETAHUNA STOCK SALE

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Fjketahnna sale on Thursday:—We had a small entry of sheep, which met with fair competition. We quote: Fat woolly 4- and 6-tooth wethers. £2 10s, fairly good hoggets 29s 3d.

ALFREDTON CATTLE FAIR,

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., reDort on their Alfredton cattle fair, held on Friday, 14th inst.: —The yarding was wsll up to advertised mimberß, and comprised mostly weU-bred Foiled

Angus and Hereford cattle. The attendance was disappointing and competition was dull, a good number of lines being passed. Prices were as follow: —Two-year Hereford steers £9 10s to £ll, coloured 2-year steers £6 to £7 10s, cows and calves £7 lis, store cows £6, yearling Hereford and Polled Angus steers £3 Es to £5 12s 6d.

CARTERTON STOCK SALE. j

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly stock sale in their Lincoln road yards, Carterton, on Friday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep, cattle, and pigs to the nsunl attendance. Competition was fairly keon, and a clearance was effected at the following prices;— Woolly hoggets 29s 7d, fat woolly owes 52s 6d, empty cows. £7 7s to £9 13s, cows and calves £7 15s, cows in calf £8 7b 6d, dairy heifers £5 5s to £6, store pigß 445, weaner pigs 27s to 35b.

THE TALLOW MARKET,

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of a cablegram from, their London house, under date 12th inst., j reading as follows: —At the auction ' sales 1390 casks of tallow were offered and 1050 sold. Mutton realised 110s per cwt., good colour mixed 106s, and gut 90s to 935. Beef tal- 4 low, nothing offered, nominal value 120s. I
