MANGARAMARAMA DAIRY COMPANY.

(From Our Own Correspondent). The annual general meeting of the Mangaramararna Dairy Company was held on Saturday last. Mr J. Manson, presided, im.l thtre were about twenty-five suppliers and shareholders present. The Chairman, in moving the adaption of the report ar,d balance sheet, congratulated the shareholders on the successful year that the Company had had. They had made improvements to the plant and property to the extent of .€llß 6s Id; £2OO had been paid off the debentures owing; £323 2s 5d had been paid out of last year's profits in a bonus to suppliers and interest on the capital subscribed. The sum of £2,918 4s lid had been paid for milk, and £3 ; 954 6s 3d received as the result of sales of cheese,and they had a balance of £448 19s 3d for distribution. The amount of cheese produced amounted to 74 tons 15 cwt,a considerable advance on last year's output. The prices that had been received was, however, slightly less than the previous year, but nevertheless the balance sheet showed a sound state of affairs. The directors recommended a bonus of ljd on. r fat, bringing the total paid to ll£d. A dividend of 6 per cent, to shareholders and a bonus of £lO to the late manager, Mr Irving. At the present time further alterations were being carried out. A manager's houfe was Leing erected, the contractors having made good progress with the work The motion was seconded by Mr Scanlon, and after a few questions bad been asked and satisfactory anawertd the bxlai.ee sheet and report were unanimously adopted. Messrs J. Manson, G. H Brown and T. Darley were elected directors. Mr Brown was elected chairman for tht ensuing year.
