METEOROLOGICAL.

Mr J. C. Boddington reports that rain fell on the Upper Plain on nine days in November. The maximum fall in 24 hours was 79 points on the 12th, and the minimum fall two points on the Bth. The total fall for the month was 1.83 inches as against 2.92 inches, 3.93 inches, and 3.97 inches for the corresponding month in 1904, 1905 and 1906 respectively. The total rainfall for the eleven months is 53.12 inches as against 43.17 inches 47.96 inches and 39.60 inches for the corresponding period in 1904, 1905 and 1906. During the month of November 2.98 inches of rain fell in Eketahuna. The maximum fall was.B9in on November 11th. Rain fell on eight days during the month. At 9 a.m. yesterday the following forecast was issued by Captain Edwin for the subsequent 24 hours : Wind—Moderate to strong from the south-eastward at all places north of East Cape, Opotiki, Cambridge and Manukau Heads, but from the westward thence to Napier; strong to gale from the northward after 16 hours at all places thence to Hokitika and Lytteiton, and after 10' hours elsewhere. Barometer. —Fall everywhere. Rain is to be expected at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Nugget Point, and will be si own after sunrise at Canes Campbell, Foulwind and Farewell Spit.
