Two hundred unemployed at Finohley, who were in a starving condition, ana who were seleoted to commence work at constructing a reservoir at Hampstead, were offered 6>£d an hour. Ihey demanded 7d an hour. This was not conceded. They thereupon refused to commence work, and walked away.
