Mr Bonaparte, United States Postmaster, in a speech delivered at Cumberland, Maryland which is interpreted as forecasting legislation on tbe subjeot—said that the death penalty'should inflexibly be imposed on every Anarchist who* made an attempt to take life, direotly or indirectly. For lesser Anarehist offences a brief but vigorous imprisonment, with a severe private flogging, should be imposed.
