INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.

WELLINGTON, March 30. It is expected that twelve thousand feet of space at the Exhibition will be taken by Wellington. QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT WILL NOT TAKE ANY SPACE. Received March 31, 12.47 a.m. BRISBANE, March 30. A deputation of merchants and maaufacturers urged the Premier that the State should be represented at the New Zealand Exhibition. The Hon. W. Kidson said that the return in the past from similar expenditures had not been large. When the Government considered the matter it was decided not to take any space, as it did not seem to be advantageous and to be oommensurate with the loss. There was nothing to prevent any merchant sending exhibits but he could not agree to the Government spending money on the project.
