HOKITIKA, Mar oh 5. News from South W6stland gives particulars of a accident to Mr Low, when crossing to the Hermitage. It seems tha*; after spraining his ankle he crawled on his hands and knees for three days and four nights, dragging his swag after him by means of a light line he carried for emergencies. In this manner he eventually reached De La tfeche bivouac, wherG he was found by Guides Claik and Graham, on Friday morning, ten days after the accident. The guides got him through to the Hermitage, and then returned to the Westland side of the range to intercept searoh parties in that and give them the good news. The parties met ■in the mountains, where the happy tidings were communicated, and the searchers then returned homewards.
