DANNEVIRKE, March 5. The following have been nominated for the Waipawa Licensing Committee:—Messrs C. E. Baines, S. Franklin, L. S. McKay, A. W. Skerman, G. Wratt, A. W. Collett, C. E. Pettersen, C. C. Smih, Pastor Ries, and Rev. A. Grant. The latter five are the nominees of the Prohibition party. v

PALMERSTON N., Marcb 5. Six Moderates, two Independents, and four straight-out Prohibitionists have been nominated for the Licensing Committee here.

TARANAKI.

NEW PLYMOUTH, March 5. Owing to the compromise between tbe Licensed Victuallers and the Counoil of Churches, only the requisite number was nominated for the Taranaki Licensing Committca which is bound to 10 o'clook closing. Two members gwere nominated by tbe Victuallers and two by tbe Churches, the fifth beiug selected by the Mayor of New Plymouth.

HAWERA. I

HAWERA, March 5. A compromise has been effected between the No-license' and the Liquor parties whereby the latter have three aijd the former two members on the Committee. The Licensed victuallers have agreed to 10 o*clock licenses.

DUNEDIN, 'March 5. Seven nominations have been received for the Caversham Licensing Committee. In the Bruce district there will be no contest, the Nolicense party nominees having been accepted. For Waikouaiti both parties have nominated full committees.
