OBITUARY.
MR THOMAS BRAGGINS
A respected resident of Masterton, in the person of Mr Thomas Braggins, passed away yesterday afternoon, at the age of 50 years. The deceased was born in Surrey, England, and came to Wellington in the year 1856, being then only a child 14 months old—in the sailing ship "Oliver Lang." His parents resided at the Hatt for about seven years, and then came on to Greytown, but for the oast 83 years the late Mr Braggins resided in Masterton. The deceased contracted a cold about three months ago, and that was the first stage of his fatal illness. For the past month he had been confined to his bed, and suffered a great deal. Death was due to consumption" of tho throat. The deceased wus of a kindly disposed and genial nature, and well liked by all whom he came in contact witb, during his long residence in Masfcerton. A widow and a family of three boys and three girls are left to mourn their loss.
