UTILITY CLUB COMPETITOR.
CHRISTCHURCH, March 5. The statement for the 44th week of the Egg laying Competition, at Lincoln College, shows that 439 eggs were laid, making a total of 29,1284, and an average of 740.1 per pen. The highest layings for the week are: —H. Uawfee's Silver Wyandotte's 24, W. B. Cowishaw's Black Orpingtons 21, L. 0. Hack's iSilver Wyandottes 19, H. Fannell's Partridge Wyandottes 18, Mrs Mills White Leghorns 17, Mrs Symous' Buff Orpingtons 17. The highest totals to date are:—H. Hawke's Silver Wyandottes 1,125, J. EL Shaw's Brown Leghorns 971, J. Mann's White Wyandottes 961, E. E. M. Evans' Silver Wyandottes 892, A. Tyree's Black Orpington's 870, Mrs J. Studholm's Anconas 859, A. H. Bristed's Buff Orpingtons 840, R. A. M. Price's Buff Orpingtons 840, E. Wieder's Buff Orpngtons 817. John Tindall's Silver Wyandottes 805, E. Scott's Brown Leghorns, 8"5, L. A. Rollin«on's American White Leghorns 797, W. B.
