NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.
WEEKLY REVIEW. CHRISTCHURCH, January 13. The weekly official review of the progress of the New Zealand International Exhibition states that it is expected thafj the Hon. Mr Carroll will be able' to visit Christctiuroh verv shortly and attend the meeting of the Maori. Committee to discuss tbe Question of a good display being made of Maori exhibits. It has been decided that Mr Gow shail leave for Japan and the East at once to arrange for the representation of Eastern nations at the Exhibition. The Band Contest* which has been freely advertised, both in Australia and New Zealand, promises to be a great success. Mr Seddon had received a letter from the Premier of Victoria stating that he has muub pleasure in accepting the position of Commissioner for the State of Victoria on behalf of tbe New Zealand International Exhibition. The Premier of New South Wales is taking considerable interest in tbe forthcoming Exhioition, and is consulting] manufacturers of that State to ascertain the extent to which they will participate in the Exhibition.
