WAITAHUNA FARMERS' CLUB.
The monthly meeting of tbe Waitahuna Farmers' Club was held on Monday evening last, September 30th, the President (Mr W. J. Livingston) in the chair. CORRESPONDENCE . A letter was read from the manager "New Zealand Farmer" drawing tbe attention of the Club to tbe large circnlation of the journal and aa being speci- j ally snifcable for advertising agricultural shows. — Received. A mourning card from Lady M'Kenzie was read to the meeting conveying the heartfelt gratitude of herself and family ' for the kind sympathy expressed by tbe Glub. — Received. Tbe secretary laid on tbe table a number of leaflets from tbe Department of Agriculture, Wellington, treating on the cultivation of the raspberry, cherry, and apricot. The President reported that the subcommittee appointed to take into consideration the erection of a building on the Club ground suitable for a refreshment booth, recommend that it be left in abeyance in the meantime.
On tbe motion of Mr Scott, eeconded by Mr T. Gorry, it was resolved that the Glub continue buying small birds eggs this season up to ten pounds, and that the seoretary make application to the County Council for the usual subsidy of pound for pound for tbe amount spent last season. This was all the business.
