The National Mortgage and Agency Company reported as follows of tlu local grain market on Tuesday last : Shipping wheat is quiet at 4s 5d to 4s 61. Milling barley is neglected at 3* 9i to 4s. New Zealand oats are in fair demand ; feeding, 2s lid to 3s Id ; milling ditto, 3s 2d to 3s 3d ; New Zealand outs (in bond) are slow of sale at 2s 2cl to 2s 4d.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, at their wool sale on Thursday, offered 4200 bales, of which 3500 bales were sold at excellent prices, fine sorts being in very good demand. There was a good attendance of Home and foreign buyers, good competition was experienced, and prices weie firmly maintained.
