SYDNEY MARKETS.
The " Sydney Mail " of the 24th ult reports as follows :
During the past weefc the produce market has been a little firmer owing to the dry weather. There is better demand, and a slight advance in the price of hay.
Wheat.— A quiet feeling prevails in the markets, 4s 6d per bushel being the highest figure quoted at present. The following are the current prices : New South Wales, inferior to good, 3s to 4s 6d ; Adelaide, 4s 4d to 4s 6d ; Victorinn, 4s 3d to 4j 5d ; Tasmanian, 4s 3d ; New Zealand, 3s 4d.
Flour. — This market continues as before, with large quantities of New South Wales and Victorian country brands of an inferior quality offering &t all prices. Quotations are as follow : New South Wale«, £10 10s to £11 10s ; Adelaide, £10 10s to £11 10s ; VictoriaD, £9 15s to £11 10s; Tasmanian, £10; New Zealand, £8 to £10 ; bran and pollard, Is per bushel.
Old potatoes are dull of sale. New Zealand, £3 ; Circular Head, £3. New potatoes, £4 10s to £5.
Oats.— Quotations are from 2s to 2s 5d ; dull.
