CLAY BIRD SHOOTING.

South Island Championship Match. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 23. A large number of visitors, some from other centres, attended the South Island clay pigeon championship tpeeting held at the Dunedin Gun Club's ground. Green Island, on Saturday. Conditions were favourable except for fading light. The first match was a twenty-five open handicap, ten shooters obtaining the possible number of birds (21), and the prize money was divided equally between them. Lansdell the winner with forty-two breaks to his credit.
