LICENSE CANCELLED.

Intoxicated Motorist Fined £ls and Costs. A fine of £ls and costs, *in default one month’s imprisonment, was imposed by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., this morning on Frederick Hobson, who pleaded guilty to being intoxicated in charge of a motor vehicle. Hobson’s license was cancelled and he was prohibited from obtaining another until June 1, 1936. Sub-Inspector Mac Lean said that a constable had found Hobson asleep in his motor-truck on February 16. When he was awakened it was apparent that he was intoxicated. A doctor examined him and certified that he was quite unfit to drive. Hobson had been before the Court in 1930 and fined for a similar off nee. Mr Russell, who entered a plea of guilty on behalf of the accused, said that Hobson had realised his condition and had not attempted to drive the truck.
