“ The Richmond trolley-buses are proving more economical than the trams,” stated Mr G. T. Thurston to the Upper Riccarton Burgesses’ Association last night. “It is the intention of the Tramway Board to put more on the road, at any rate on the Richmond-North Beach-City routes. There is also a possibility that the Linwood line may be lifted, as that route has not been paying well.”
