Christchurch Defence Club’s Competition. | The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club fired its first service eompetitio-n at Redcliffs on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were: At 200yds, seven shots application, six shots moving target; at 300yd*. seven shots application, seven shots snapshooting and seven shots rapid (SO seconds). V. Hlseoek, D. F. Keir and E Truman, who finished in that order, shot well. D. F. Keir. R. Bundle and A. Halmshaw scored possibles in the first practice. Leading scores were «fi Hr vi. Ttl. F. Iliseock G.
