Temperamental Tests.
Dear Sir, —Apropos of a letter appearing in your issue of Thursday signed “ Courtesy Pays,” I fully endorse all that he says. With regard to his second question. “Are our inspectors experienced sufficiently,” a person has only to watch for a few minutes some of the inspectors directing traffic and he will come to the conclusion that they' are not. The intolerant attitude that they adopt, I don't say all; their impatient gesticulating, distorted expression of countenance and general irritability must convince even the most casual observer that, temperamentally, some of them are not fitted for the position. Such trifles as the stalling of an engine, or small breach, through ignorance, of some paltry by-law send them into a paroxvsni.—l am etc., TOLERANCE.
