CHURCH ORCHESTRA.
Evening Social Marks Close of Season. To mark the close or another vear members of the Union Methodist Orchestra entertained a number of their friends on Wednesday evening last at the residence of Mrs Hore, Crohane Street. The room was tastefully decorated with blue, gold and white streamers and floral decorations to tone. Several selections were played by the orchestra, after which musical and elocutionary items were rendered by Mrs Maine, Misses S. Down, C. Sea ley and Mr F. Olds. sir R. Hore was M.C. for the games period. During the evening, the annual report and financial statement were read and adopted, reference being made to the splendid work of the conductor. Mr .T. Taylor, and the services of Miss D. Down as pianist and Miss Eileen Thomas as secretary. Mention was also made of Mrs Hore’s kindness in allowing the use of her room for practices and social events. On behalf of the members, Mr Taylor was presented with a leather attache case in recognition of his services for the past year. Presentations Thomas' 50 made to Mrs More and Miss
