WEDDING AT HECTOR.
Whiteside—Rae
A wedding which aroused much local interest took place on Wednesday last at the residence of the bride’s parents at Hector, West Coast, when Janet (Nettie), second daughter of Air and Airs Andrew Rae, was married to Stanley, eldest son of Air and Airs Thomas Whiteside, of Peel Street, Westport. Captain Saunders, of the Salvation Army, officiated.
The bride wore an ankle-length frock of blue floral georgette, with a lemon Bangkok hat. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. Aliss Annie Rae, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of floral crepe de chine, and black picture hat. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Air Andrew Rae was best man. The Rev 11. A. Steffan, Presbyterian minister, and the Rev L. K. Collins, Anglican clergyman, friends of the bride’s family, assisted at the ceremony.
A reception at the house followed the ceremony.
