FOR CHRISTMAS CHEER

Waimairi Football Club’s Dance. To provide Christmas cheer for children of the unemployed resident in the Waimairi district, the committee of the Waimairi League Football Club held a euchre party and dance in the Papanui Memorial Hall. The committee responsible for the successful evening were: Mesdames Smith. Grogan, T. Pearce, J. Pearce, Smallbone, M’Causland, Sneddon, Misses Cooper, Steer and Smallbone, Messrs P. C. Shirley, H. Shirlev. T. Grogan, B. Drury, T. Big wood, B. Smallbone, B. Meadows. Pearce, M. L. Sneddon, Butcher, B. Derrett and F. Steer. The music was supplied by 1.. Kinsman’s orchestra, extras being played by Mr D. Smith and Mr F. Smith. Air D. Smith was M.C. Prizes for euchre were won by Mesdames Bigg, J. Neville, Smallbone and Ralton, Messrs C. Young, N. Crowe and Humphries. Air and Airs Fantham won the lucky •spot dance, and Air and Airs T. Grogan the Monte Carlo dance. * Amongst those present were: Air and Airs Fantham, Air and Mrs Holloway Mrs Li.
