HOSPITAL LADY VISITORS.

A committee meeting of the Hospital Lady Visitors’ Association was held at the hospital recently. Those present were: Mrs Ilogg (president) in the chair, Mesdames Ward, Fleming, L. H. Stewart, Beals, Wynn Williams and Meredith-Kaye, Misses Lee, Cardale and Bowen. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs Collins and Miss Muir. Miss Bowen reported that during October 18 patients were granted one week at the Rhodes Memorial Home and eight were given a second week; £2 10s was granted for relief and £lO to Miss Muir for the children’s ward. Mrs Bartram reported that there were 27 patients working. The. committee accepted Mrs Keell's resignation from the library sub-committee with regret. Accounts amounting to £6 18s 3d were passed for payment. The result of the sale of occupational work held at the hospital on Friday, November 30, was most gratifying, the sum of £2O 15s 3d being realised. The committee was grateful to all Those who helped with the sale and to those who sent in donations of flowers, cakes and sweets.
