NEW STAGE PLAY.

“Waltzes From Vienna” at Theatre Royal. To-night, at the Theatre Royal, the J. C. Williamson Opera Company will present the musical comic opera, “ Wlatzes from Vienna.” which in Wellington proved as popular as “ The Dubarry,” and attracted large audiences. “ Waltzes from Vienna ” certainly, if one rosy go by reports, presents the brilliant young London actress and singer. Sylvia Welling, to great advantage, and this also applies to other principal members of the company. In “Waltzes from Vienna” there is no musical comedy music to listen to. Instead there are pretty sentimenta! airs which recall blossoms, crinolines, brass bands and amorous waltzes. The story is an agreeable mixture of fact and fiction.
