COMEDY AND DRAMA

“ Strictly Dynamite ” and “ The Right to Live.”

“As the Earth Turns ” and “ Marooned ” will be shown finally tomorrow night at the Liberty Theatre. A thrilling drama, “ The Right to Live ” and a bright comedy, “ Strictly Dynamite,” will comprise the attractive new double bill at the Liberty Theatre on Saturday. The big cast in “ Strictly Dynamite ” is headed by the inimitable comedian, Jimmie Durante, whose speeches and mannerisms provide much of the genuine comedy in which the film abounds. In the role of a radio performer he has excellent scope to introduce his witticisms. Durante relies chiefly upon using long words in the wrong place and the effect is very humorous. He is supported by Marian Nixon, Lupe Velez, Norman Foster and Eugene Pallette. There are five new songs in the picture. “The Right to Live” deals with the discovery of helozone. a chemical combination that annuls the effect of every poison gas known to mankind. The cast includes Pat Paterson, who was given a contract in Hollywood at the Fox studios as a result of her work in this picture, Richard Bird. Francis Sullivan, David Burnaby, Frank Atkinson, and Lawrence Anderson. Box plans at the D.I.C.
