Accused Man Was Drunk in Charge.

For the fifty-first time Charles Xeilson, 44 years of age, of Lake Terrace Road, appeared in the Police Court this morning. He was aecuse< of having been drunk in charge of a horse and cart in Peterborough btreet yesterday afternoon. Senior-Sergeant Fox said that the horse and cart were observed unattended in Peterborough at a quarter to four yesterday. When questioned by a police officer, Xeilson admitted that they had been there since ten in the morning. Mr H. A. Young, S.M., remarked that it was the accused’s fifty-first conviction, twenty of which had been for drunkenness.

Xeilson was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon provided he disposed of his horse and cart.
