Christchurch Society’s Race From Fielding. Tlie Christchurch Racing’ Pigeon Society recently flew off an old-bird race from Feilding. The winning bird, Blue Ensign, owned by .T. Sixty-eight birds, representing fifteen owners, were sent. Owing to bad weather the birds were held up over the week-end at Waiouru and were liberated by the stationmaster at 6.30 on the Monday morning, after having been four days in the hampers. The winning bird. Lord Harry, a red chequer cock owned by A. Thompson, arrived home in good condition, flying the 340 miles 270 yards in Shr 51 min. Results: Yds per min. A.
