ART GALLERY HOURS.

Proposal to Open in Evenings. Authority for opening the Robert ’'cDougall art gallery in the evening during the summer months was granted the Art Gallery Committee by the City Council last evening. The committee asked for authority to open the art gallery on some evenings each week during December, January and February. It was pointed out that the gallery usually closed at 4 p.m., but the committee would arrange for it to reopen at 5.30 p.m. and close a few minutes prior to the closing of the gardens. The public would thus be given two hours extra each day during December'and January, and about an hour and a half during February. The council agreed to the committee’s arrangements.
