DOCTOR INJURED.

Serious Smash at Level Crossing. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, July 23. A serious accident occurred to-day at the Elies Road level crossing, when a motor-car, driven by Dr Burns Watson, was struck by a goods train which had almost pulled up. The doctor was thrown on to the roadway. He suffered severe head injuries and was removed to a private hospital in an unconscious condition.
