SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Winter Sports Club Holds Meeting. The Canterbury Winter Sports Club held its first club championship events —the men’s and women’s slaloms —on its ground at Mount Cheeseman yesterday. Snow conditions were excellent. The course was a difficult one, with a descent of SOO feet. Results were:— Men's Championship Slalom, j. H. Young, time 3min 32 2-ssec, 100 points 1 G. W. A. Day 4min 32 2-ssec, 77.9 points - f E. Wade. 4min 42 3-ssec. 75.2 points o Women's Championship Slalom. Miss M. Black, lmin 1 2-ssec, 100 points 4 Mrs V. Dawson. 2min 30see. 4S points, and Miss J. Willis, 2min 30sec, 4 8 points, equal 2 An open slalom was won by R. C. Murie. of the Ruapehu Ski Club, in 2 min 2S l-ssec\ over the course used for the men’s championship.
