Anglican Club Beats Methodist. The contest between the Anglican and Methodist clubs resulted in a win lor Anglican with 1f» points to Methodist’s 25 points. The winners were the guests of Captain and Mrs <.. M. Renaut, 85 Norman’s Road, Papanui. The trail was laid from Norman’s Road, down May’s lload, across country in the Marshland and Papanui* districts, coming out from behind St Bede’s College on to the North Road, with a run-in down North Road and Papanui Road, a distance of eight miles. University v. Christchurch. In the University v. Christchurch contest, the University Club won wltn 1G points against Christchurch s -l points. The race was run from Bishop Julius Hostel, Cranmer Square, over a six-mile trail which led through Hagley Park to Addington, across country to Riccarton Road, across country to Fendalton, along Fendalton Road to the railway, across to Riccarton station and home through Hagley Park W. r.idland, E. St Albans. C. M. Dawson and H. Ornierod laid a trail which led their team mates through the Uurwood and Marshland district over good harrier country, a distance of seven and a half miles. The Technical harriers were "the guests of Dr and Mrs D. E. Hansen. I«>d, Opawa Road. The club ran out in one pack over a trail which led up the Rapaki Road and on to the top. across country to the Horatane \ alley, back to Murray Aynsley Hill and home, a distance of seven miles. The results were. C. H. Matthews 1, R. De la Cour 2, A. B. Wickham 3. Christchurch Club. Twenty members of the Christchurch Harrier Club were the guests of Mr J. Farthing at a run from the Ozone cafe, North Beach. S. Paul and H. Cook son laid a six and a half mile trail from the beach to Watmairi, through the Bottle plantation and home via Mairehau, with a run-in of half a mile down North Beach. The members of the Baptist Harrier Club attended a church parade at the morning service at the Colombo Street Baptist Church yesterday. The preacher, the Rev J. Ewen Simpson. conducted the service, taking the ‘ext from the Epistle of St Paul to the Philippiaiis, chapter 3. verse 14: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
