Annual Chess Match With Canterbury.

Canterbury concluded on Saturday evening, the result being: —-Otago five wins and Canterbury three wins, two games being drawn, while ten games are to be sent to Wellington for adjudication. It appears as if the ultimate result of the contest will he a win for Otago. Play began at 3.30 p.m.. and continued till 11 p.m. The games at Boards l. 3, 5. 6. 7, 10. 11.
