WAGES RESTORATION.
Wanganui Fire Board’s Action. p ev A^soeiaMon. WANGANUI. April 16. The Wanganui Fire Board to-day decided that the time was Opportune to commence a gradual restoration of the 10 per cent cut in salaries. Accordingly 2£ per cent of the deduction is to be restored as from the commencement of the current financial year. The Board also continued its policy of reducing the levy on the Oitv Council and combined insurance companies and both organisations will benefit by £6O per annum each Last year a reduction was made of £l2O per annum to each body.
