ALL BLACK’S WEDDING.

Celebrated This Afternoon at Avonside. DALLEY-WARD. Football enthusiasts and a wide circle of other friends were interested in the wedding, which took place this afternoon at Holy Trinity Church, Avonside, of Nola Phyllis, third daughter of Mr and Mrs R. S. Ward, of North Avon Road, to William Qharles, fourth son o£ Mrs C. T. Dailey, Riccarton Road. Mr Dailey is a well-known All Black footballer. The church was beautifully decorated by the'bride's friends with masses of tree marigolds and autumn flowers, berries and foliage. The bride’s sister, Miss Rima Ward, was her only attendant, and Mr Ivor Gray, of Kaituna, was best man. The Rev R. de Lambert was the officiating clergyman, and Mr Arthur Lilly the organist. The bridal gown of rich ivory satin troubadour was distinguished by the simplicity of its cut. The V-shaped neck was faced with a band of the material shaped in front into a diamond shaped panel into which the bodice was slightly gathered. The gown moulded the figure to the knees, then opened out into graceful folds, reaching ground-length in front and continuing into a traip at the back. The long sleeves pointed over the hand were ruched into a centre panel from shoulder to wrist, where they, were buttoned with tiny satin buttons. The severe lines of the gown were offset by the soft folds of her filmy veil of point lace. Delicately handembroidered, it was caught at the nape of the neck with a single strand of orange blossoms, and then fell into a second train. Her arm bouquet of longiflorum lilies and begonias was finished with long trails. A c\sinty sprigged organdie frock mounted on turquoise blue satin was worn by the bridesmaid. Three ruffles were placed at the neckline covering the upper arm, while the hem was weighted with three similar ruffles. The waist was outlined in hemstitching and finished with a hemstitched bow. Her pretty wide-brimmed hat was of blue taffetas, and her outfit was completed by blue mittens and a round posy of blue delphiniums with a few salmon pink begonias as relief. The bride’s mother later received her guests at the Hotel Federal, wearing a smart black marocain ensemble, the frock having a bodice patterned in Paisley design, while the coatee had cape sleeves embroidered with grey. Her black felt hat was banded in velvet and finished with a black and white ornament. Her bouquet was of shaded pink flowers. The bridegroom’s mother was dressed in a frock and coat of black phantom armure and a hat to tone. Her bouquet of nerine and chrysanthemums was in vivid tomato tints. For travelling the bride had chosen a frock and sleeveless coatee of negre brown marocain, a smartly checked material in brown, orange and biege being used for the yoke and sleeve trimmings of the frock. Her hat was of matching brown felt, and her model overcoat was in checked tweed.
