TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Mrs R. Barkley Smith, Wellington, is visiting Timaru and is staying at the Grosvenor.
Mr and Mrs R. C. Hurst and family are guests at Te Kainga, Wai-iti Road, before leaving for England. Miss R. Rutherford, Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs D. C. Turnbull, The Gables, Evans Street.
Miss Manning has returned to Christchurch after visiting Mrs E. Vincent, King.sdown, and Mrs W. Priest, Bank Street.
Miss Sheila Vincent, Kingsdown, has returned from a visit to Miss Esther Seay, Mount Dalgety Station, Burke’s Pass. Mrs Denton Leitch, Dunedin, will re turn south early next week after staying with Mr P. B. Benham, Pleasant Point. Mr and Mrs O. Harris have returned to Morrinsville after staying with Mrs C. A. Paterson, Sefton Street.
Mr M. J. Knubley and Miss N. Knubley, Sarah Street, have returned from a visit to Christchurch.
Mias Wright, Wai-iti Road, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs J. C. Tempter, Waimate, has returned home. Mr and Mrs Murdoch M'Leod, Knowles Street, St Albans, have returned north after staying with Mrs M. H. M’Leod, Temuka. Miss Olga Palmer, Wai-iti Road, and Miss Edith Arthur, Trafalgar Street, have returned from a visit to Mrs E H. Pike, Crohamhurst, Fairlie. Mrs Owen Blackler, Hazelburn, and Miss Mary Bayley, Opihi, will leave by the Wanganella next week for Sydney, en route to England. Captain and Mr Colin Sinclair-Thom son, Wellington, have left on a visi f to the Franz Josef Glacier. They will also pay a round of visits in South Canterbury.
