DRAMAS AT LIBERTY.

“Employees’ Entrance” and “ Headline Shooter.”

Ihe new double-feature programme at the Liberty Theatre to-day is headed by “ Employees’ Entrance,” the story of a man who rises to success by tramping ruthlessly and unscrupulously on the loves and lives of others. The supporting film is “ Headline Shooter,” which deals with the - life of a daring newsreel cameraman. An unusual theme is dealt with in a highly interesting and successful manner in “ Employees’ Entrance.” It deals with business life in a mammoth departmental store, embracing a variety of personalities from the dominating managing director to the humblest worker. The picture features the powerful character of Warren William, who will be remembered for his portrayal of Paul Kroll in the “ Match King.” in “ Employees’ Entrance ” William is again ideally cast. In the business there are many struggling employees whose domestic and social lives are touched upon, and who come under the dominating influence of the chief. There are many extremely human touches in the film, also gripping drama, pathos and clever humour. Loretta Young plays opposite Warren William as a humble employee, whose feminine charm has not failed to make its mark on the manager. Thrills and romance are deftly blended in “ Headline Shooter.” a realistic drama depicting the working life of a daring newsreel cameraman. The leading roles are taken by William Gargan, Ralph Bellamy and Frances Dee. The film moves at breakneck speed and includes some of the most remarkable action “shots” ever caught by the camera. Spectacular episodes during an earthquake, a disastrous fire and a great flood are the highlights.
