ZANE GREY STORY.
Stuart Erwin, Fred Kohler, Raymond Hatton and Verna Hillie head the cast of ” Under the Tonto Rim,” the talking picture version of Zane Grey’s novel of the same name, which began a return season at the Grand Theatre today. While it has all the qualities of excitement and romance that have made its author’s other novels famous pictures, ” Under the Tonto Rim ” has, in addition, a large element of genuine humour. It is a story of a cowboy (Stuart Erwin) who could do nothing right. Failing in all other branches of stock-raising, he is finally set down in a cattle corral to guard the animals against theft; but he fails in that, too, for the cattle are stolen, from under his very nose! Disgusted, he accepts the advice of two designing friends and invests a small inheritance in a pig farm, with amusing results. “ Under the Tonto Rim ” is really entertaining screen fare, and should not be missed by those who prefer action spiced with clean and clever comedy.
