PETITION OF PROTEST.

Trolley-bus Users Want Drivers Restored. It is understood that a petition is to be presented to the Tramway Board by North Beach residents, asking that the trolley-bus drivers disrates as a result of the re-arrangement of the staff should have their status restored. The petition claims that it represents the users of the service, and is not in any way political. This afternoon the petition was put into circulation, and it is claimed that several hundred signatures will be secured. The aim of the petition is to convey to the Tramway Board the appreciation of the rendered by the four drivers, and ensure that they shall not be disrated.
